Snow Storm Behavior

Snow in DC seems to make people stupid. They do things in the snow they would not bnormally do.
The first group of idiots today are the people walking in the middle of major roads like 16th street NW. I came home from work today and the person driving had to keep stopping or slowing down for morons in the road. I walked to work from my home in Mount Pleasant to Dupont Circle on the sidewalk today. They were a bit slippery and snowy but passable. There was no excuse for these people to be, literally, in the middle of the road. If I had been driving I would not have slowed down for them at all.
Snow doesn't turn the street into a sidewalk and if you are that nervous about walking in the snow stay home!
The city should have ticketed these people just like they ticket those parked on snow emergency routes.
The second case of stupidity was seeing a man on the news complaining about Metro cancelling bus service half way through the day today. What a moron. They had been saying, since at least 8 am today, that this was going to get bad and that there may be a suspension of service. People choose to ignore this prediction and then complain when it comes true. If you are too stupid to follow instructions and listen to Metro and the news and the mayor you get what you deserve.
Snow in DC seems to bring out the stupid in a lot of my fellow citizens.
